Congratulations to the Junior High keyboarding winners for the 1st nine weeks!
Seventh grade students typed for a combined total of 38 hours and 53 minutes and were rewarded with ice cream floats!
Individual keyboarding prizes were also given for highest accuracy while typing, highest words per minute on average, and most minutes typed. Way to go, Bluejays!

The Church of the Visitation and Westphalia ISD will begin to resurface the parking lot between the church and school on Monday, October 12, 2026. This project should take approximately six weeks to complete.

WISD will re-route our Drop-off and Pick-up traffic as labeled on the map. Our temporary route will be the “Take Out” line from Picnic. Please see attached image of route.

Enter County Road 3000 across from the Meat Market and travel North. The traffic will flow one-way in front of the school. We will accept and dismiss students from the front doors of the school.

DAYCARE parents with WISD students:

Please pick up WISD students first and then use parking lot to turn and go to daycare. (Place Daycare Card on your dash)

Early Pick-up:

If you need to pick your child(ren) up prior to dismissal, please do so by 3:00pm until the construction project is completed.

Please communicate this new route to any persons dropping off or picking up your children.

Thank you in advance for your patience as this project is underway. Our student safety is our greatest concern and ask that you are vigilant as we navigate this change in procedures. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Brittany Lloyd, Superintendent

The 8th grade class are leaving a little bit of themselves behind for future bluejays to admire. The 8th graders were tasked with painting a ceiling tile representing what is important to them. This was a process. First, students designed their tiles on an 8 X 10 piece paper. Next, students transferred the design to a 24X24 white piece of paper. Finally, students transferred the 24X24 to a ceiling tile. The ceiling tiles will be on display in the cafeteria for those to admire when here.
