Mr. Ryan Steele


Mr. Steele is in his seventh year as the Superintendent/principal for Westphalia ISD. Mr. Steele grew up in a suburb of Atlanta, GA and graduated from Norcross H.S. in Norcross, GA. He received his bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and then studied at Tarleton State University for his master’s degree. Currently, he is working on his doctorate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station. While in working towards his undergraduate degree, Mr. Steele had the opportunity to spend a semester attending Oxford University in England, where he studied philosophy, religion, and British history.

Mr. Steele is married to his wife, Holly, and has a son named Tyler and daughter name Georgia Kathryn. When not working at WISD or working on his dissertation, Mr. Steele enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys doing Crossfit. Mr. Steele says the best part of his day is when he is able to interact with the kids in the hallway, during athletics, and during lunch.
